Services
As a full-service technician, my aim is towards bringing your piano to its full potential. Please call or email me with the make, model, and last date of service. I will return your inquiry within 24 hours or less. I accept checks, cash, and Venmo.
Standard Service Package
This includes: tuning the piano, adjustment of pedals, and minor repairs like a sticking note. Most clients start with standard service. From there we can work together and assess further work that may be needed. Most all pianos need more than just a tuning.
Regulation
The piano has a mechanical system called the “action” similar to an automobile’s transmission or engine. Likewise, it needs to be serviced from time to time. This can require a couple of hours' worth of work or a full day, depending on how often the piano has been serviced. Regulation is just as critical for your piano’s performance as having your piano tuned regularly.
Repair and Restoration
Over time the main components in the piano will deteriorate. Materials like wool, cloth, leather, and wood will wear away after years of use. During a standard service appointment, this work can be assessed and scheduled in an appropriate fashion.
Piano Cleaning
Years of dust accumulate and require deep cleaning. I offer a comprehensive cleaning protocol that includes: cleaning, vacuuming, and polishing. Take pride in the appearance of your instrument.
Condition Report/Work Estimate
Every piano has its own story. Working with an experienced technician will determine: What condition is my instrument in? What type of work is needed to restore it to performance level?
Pre-Purchase Inspection
Before you decide to purchase your piano, think about having a Registered Piano Technician accompany you. Having confidence your purchase was made under full disclosure is invaluable. Many used pianos have significant issues that are hard to identify without careful examination.
